About Mrs. Kopoulos

Meet Ms. Kopoulos! 

Fun Facts: I have been teaching for 8 years, and have been at Pennoyer for 5 years. I have spent all 5 years at Pennoyer teaching 4th grade. In addition to that, I am the Science Department Chair, run Student Council alongside my partner teacher Mrs. Kafka, run Visibility Club with Sarah Adkins, and work lunch duty daily. I have my endorsements in ESL (English Second Language), Reading, Social Studies, and Science. I am working towards my National Board Certification as well, and am projected to complete that in December of 2024. 

Other Fun Facts: I just got married on October 7th, 2023 and my husband is a Pennoyer alumni himself! I have two amazing sisters who I enjoy spending time and traveling with. I love working out and being active! Going on walks, and spending time at the Farmers Market are some of my favorite things to do. Another passion of mine is being a Taylor Swift fan! This is something many students know about me. I attended her Era's Tour in June of 2023, and also just saw her again in Dublin this June. Taylor Swift is our classroom theme this school year. She has a lot of wonderful lessons in her lyrics about treating people kindly and loving yourself. I think that's powerful to tie into our classroom community this school year.
