Mrs. Tronco

Welcome to Mrs. Tronco's Reading Webpage. I work with students in Grades K-8 striving to connect with each student at their unique point on their reading journey. In here, we love to find different ways to practice and encourage a life-long love for reading and learning.

Getting to Know Mrs. Tronco

I love being a wife, mom to three daughters, and specialist teacher. I started here at Pennoyer School in August of 2001. Some of my positions in the school have included being an aide, teaching primary and late elementary grades, and currently holding the Reading Specialist position. I completed my Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Northeastern Illinois University. I received my Master of Arts in Reading Education in 2008 from Concordia University and hold a current Reading Specialist certificate. I have also completed my ELL Endorsement from Benedictine University in 2011 and my LBS1 (Learning Behavior Specialist) from North Park University in 2015. I am also the current District’s ELA & MTSS Department Chair.

In October 2012, I received the Office Max "A Day Made Better" award with a donation of classroom supplies. In January of 2013, I was chosen as a "Teacher of Honor" from Kappa Delta Pi, an international honor society in education. I am very proud of both of these recognition awards and honored to have been chosen.

I truly love teaching at Pennoyer School. The school community shares my values of strong educational foundations and technological growth. I am invested in each child and want this year to be a strong year for their academic and social development.
