Paper Plate Challenge
Students were given a paper plate and could cut the plate in any way they wanted in order to create the longest, continuous strip possible. There could be no taping, tying, or connecting pieces together in any way.

Our class headed outside today for math to find our dimensions. We used those dimensions to calculate the area and perimeter.

STEAM DAY With Ridgewood High School
Ridgewood High School came to Pennoyer to facilitate a STEAM LAB DAY with the 4th Graders. Students learned, experimented, and investigated the science, technology, engineering, and math that is present all around them. They built marshmallow towers, worked with circuit boards, made slime, created moon phases out of Oreo Cookies, made ice cream and lava lamps.
