What is a learning Specialist? 

My role as a learning specialist is to provide students with individualized learning opportunities. As a learning specialist,  I co-teach with other teachers to provide whole classroom support as well as engage in individualized or small group instruction depending on the needs of students. 

I manage a caseload of students, develop and implement learning goals and support plans, consult regularly with teachers, and communicate regularly with parents.

More about me

This is my fifth year teaching at Pennoyer.  I love what I do! In my free time, I enjoy reading, cooking, and camping!   I graduated from Illinois State University in 2019 with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and an English as a Second Language (ESL) endorsement. I attended Elmhurst University to receive my LBS1 endorsement.
