If you are at the beginning of the semester in your chemistry class, missed the first few days, or have joined the class late well into the course, follow the directions below to ensure you take all the appropriate steps to get what you need to get started and know everything needed so that your time in chemistry class goes as smoothly as possible!
Step 1: Review these slides!
This Google Slide deck contains everything you need to know about your time in chemistry class. These slides will tell you information about:
what to do if you are absent

Step 3: Rules Acknowledgment!
All students enrolled in Honors Chemistry are required to read, review, and sign the Rules Acknowledgment form. This document outlines classroom expectations and responsibilities, including attendance procedures, assignment deadlines, lab/report policies, academic integrity, and classroom conduct. By signing, students and their guardians confirm that they understand and agree to follow these rules throughout the course.
If you do not receive a hard copy in class, please click on the document on the right, print it out, and have both you and your guardian read, sign, and return the acknowledgment to Mr. Tomaszfski as soon as possible.
Step 4: Review Lab Safety Rules!
The chemistry lab is an amazing place! Through experiments and demonstrations we discover that chemistry is more than just a collection of facts and formulas — it’s a way of observing and understanding the very real properties of matter all around us.
However, the lab can also be a dangerous place. Contrary to what you might have seen in films and TV, safety is a core value of chemistry—it is essential to everything you do in the lab. It begins with your mindset, the attitudes, and the beliefs you bring to class with you every day.
Please read the accompanying Penn Manor Chem Lab Safety Rules and then sign & return the Safety Rules Contract indicating you have read and agree to follow all of the safety rules set forth in the contract.
