2-Step Verification
On your mobile phone, download the free Google Authenticator App from the App Store (Android or iOS).
Open the App; select Setup. Then return to your computer.
In Gmail, click on the Google Account Icon in the upper right hand corner. (It may have your photo or the initial of your first name).
Click on Google Account > Security > 2-Step Verification > Sign in.
Under Authenticator App, choose Change Phone.
Select which phone you have (iPhone or Android). A QR code will appear.
Back to your phone: In the Authenticator app; select barcode, and physically point the phone camera to scan the QR code on the computer screen.
After scanning, click Next on your computer and enter the number that appears on your phone into the corresponding field on your computer screen.
From this point forward, when you log on to a new computer you may be prompted to enter a 2FA code from your phone’s Google Authenticator App.
Google Workspace
Chrome browser sync will automatically save your passwords, bookmarks, extensions, and other browser settings. Please sign in with your @pennmanor.net account and enable sync from the profile icon in the top right corner of the browser.
Access your email from mail.google.com. If you haven't already turned on browser sync, sign in with your PM account credentials that we set up earlier.
The ⋮⋮⋮ Google apps menu appears on the new tab page and at the top of every Google web application (Gmail, Drive, Calendar, etc). This menu can be used to quickly switch between any Google apps.

Google Drive File Backups
Google Drive is a cloud storage application that will keep all of your files safe and secure. You'll have access to the Google Drive desktop application, which automatically syncs files between Drive and a 'Google Drive' folder on your computer. Important files should always be kept in this synced folder. Files stored on you Desktop will not be backed up and may be lost in the event of an incident.
This is important! We want to keep your files safe and backed up. Reach out to the help desk for assistance.
Frontline
Frontline is a time clock and absence management tool. The link for Frontline is on the Speed Dial page. New employees will receive an email from Frontline to set up an account. Frontline accounts are managed by the HR Team.
Sensitive Data
Please remember that sensitive data such as academic records or student birthdays should not be stored on personal devices or unauthorized cloud storage platforms. Files should always be stored in Penn Manor's Google Drive.
Sapphire
Sapphire is our Student Information System. It holds grades, seating charts, lunch count, medical information, and more.
Here's a slide deck to show you around the Sapphire Gradebook.

To print, select the 'FollowMe' printer. To release the file at any district copier, swipe in with your employee badge and follow the instructions. If the FollowMe printer isn't available on your computer, email support@pennmanor.net.
Paper documents can also be scanned and sent directly to your Google Drive via the copier's 'Scan' feature.
Guest Wifi
Mobile phones often struggle to maintain a cell signal from inside our buildings. We recommend connecting your phone to the 'guest' wifi. When connecting, you will redirected to our Terms of Use page, where you'll need to click Accept to access service.
Hardware
Building classrooms have various equipment such as projectors, LCD panels, document cameras, speakers, and voice amplification. Schedule a meeting with your building tech to learn about or troubleshoot the hardware in your room.
Updates and Installing Software
Updates for you computer are downloaded automatically. You'll see a notification when updates are ready to install. Please restart as soon as possible when you see these notifications. It's also best practice to restart at least once every week to keep your computer running smoothly.
The process for installing additional software varies by platform. Pre-approved apps can be installed from the following sources.
Mac staff can use the 'Manager' app.
Chromebook staff can install apps from the Google Play Store.
Windows staff should contact support@pennmanor.net.
All other installations must be performed by IT. For security and system compatibility, all technology purchases must have prior approval from IT.
Third-Party Web Applications
The Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) is a federal law that regulates online services' collection of personal information from children under the age of 13. A list of teacher websites cleared for COPPA compliance, as well as security and support, is located here and on the Speed Dial page.
The PM technology team reviews third party applications to protect student and staff data. To request access to a new application, please email support@pennmanor.net.

Security
We're committed to protecting student and staff data, and we need your help! Every employee has access to some amount of sensitive information. 98% of cyber attacks rely on social manipulation via phishing emails, text messages, and pop-ups. Here's what you can do to keep us all safe:
Safeguard your account credentials.
Don’t click on unfamiliar web links.
Don't provide information to any person or system unless you're certain of their identity and authority to have that information.
Report incidents and suspicious activity to support@pennmanor.net.
Google Sites = Public Websites
You can create a website for your classroom using Google Sites. You can also use Google Sites for student projects. Student reports, portfolios and collaborative projects are great with this tool. See the links below to get started.
