We had to make a boat the would carry me and my partner across the pool without sinking
the science behind this challenge that we used was surface area, depth, buoyancy, and mass
Cardboard
duct tape
We first made a sketch then we used the dimensions to find the depth and the max weight our boat would be able to hold then we made our boatÂ
we made it across without sinking and we were able to hold 2 extra people before the back seam broke. The boat did a lot better than I thought, I thought t was going to break halfway through because there was a l;to of air bubbles in the corners
what I would change would be making sure the duct tape was more lat at the seams and corners.
I would change that each group would get 2 sheets of cardboard instead of just one
