6th Grade Class Reward

We had a great start to the weekend! 6-Kersic earned another class reward and were able to celebrate by playing a variety of Minute-to-Win It games! Kudos to the class for working hard and being 6th Grade leaders! I have attached some photos from the festivities this afternoon!

Holiday Spirit Week

From 12/18 to 12/22 we will be having a special Central Manor Spirit Week! Please see the attached PDF for what the students should wear. Students can earn character cash for showing school spirit! 

Mid-Term Progress Reports Coming Soon!

The students will be receiving their mid-term progress reports for the 2nd marking period next week! Please be on the look-out for them as I hope to be able to give them out by 12/20! After looking at them, please sign it and return them to your student.

NEWS UPDATE - OcTOBER 23rd, 2023

6-Kersic Movie Day - October 27th, 2023

6-Kersic has earned a CLASS REWARD and we will be having a Movie Party this Friday afternoon, 10/27 at 2:00pm.  

Your student will be provided popcorn and a drink for the movie. The popcorn that will be provided is SKINNY POP POPCORN. As a beverage choice, your child can have the option of Turkey Hill lemonade or water.  Please complete the following GOOGLE FORM for your student to be able to have the food items.

In the event we have not received the completed Google Form by 8:00am on 10/27, your child will not be able to eat/drink during the event.

Central Manor PTO - Booster-Thon Fun Run Update

I wanted to give you an update on our progress! As a school, we have raised $5,569 and our class has reached $15 on our donation tracker!  We think we can make it even further to help our school reach our goal of $25000 for field trips, class materials, teacher support, and community events.

Will you help us by sharing your page with one or two more donors tonight? You can use the share tools on your mybooster.com dashboard to make it easy. If you haven't already registered your student, don't worry! There's still time to do that tonight.

We’re also having a great time discovering how to live with character as part of our fundraising activities. Make sure to ask your student what they learned in the World Changer Workshop today! ( You can also watch the videos with your student at home on mybooster.com)

Student-Led Conferences Sign-Up Information 

This year, I will be using google calendars for conference sign-ups.  I will be offering conferences November 20th (1:45 - 7:45pm) and November 21st (1:45 - 3:45pm). Conference scheduling will be done on a first come, first served basis.  

Please note that we will be hosting one conference per child.  It is important that blended families coordinate their schedules in advance and sign-up for one conference slot.  

You may choose to have an in-person or virtual conference. In-person is strongly encouraged as your student is doing a STUDENT-LED CONFERENCE.

When scheduling your conference on the calendar, please include your child’s name in the description box and indicate if you prefer an in-person or virtual conference.

IMPORTANT --> If you utilize your student’s gmail account to sign up for a conference slot, you will receive the confirmation and link to the conference via the student’s gmail account. Central Manor PTO - Needs Your Help! - Book Fair

Do you love books and reading?

Do you want to encourage and foster a love of reading in our community?

Well, then look no further! The Book Fair Committee needs your help!! 

They are still in need of 1-2 volunteers who would be able to step into the role of book fair co-chairs starting in the 2024/2025 school year. This may seem far away, but in order to make the transition into the role easier, those volunteers would be able to shadow/help the current co-chairs with the 2023/2024 fair that will take place in December 2023. 

With your help, we will be able to ensure that we are able to offer this much loved and anticipated event to students that are here now and those that are yet to come!  Come help us encourage and support a love of reading and learning.

Booster-Thon Fun Run Parent Sign-up Link

Our wonderful school PTO needs your help! The students are soon going to be learning about our new school fundraiser, Booster-thon! Booster-thon is coming up in just a few short weeks and we are in the process of finding volunteers for the fun run event that will wrap up the program. We would like to continue the tradition of marking the students backs for each lap they run, however, this requires MANY volunteers. In addition, those volunteers have to have their clearances to participate.
