What is Roundup City Racers?

The Roundup City Racers (RCR) is a local organization that provides fair and open competitive track and field for children (ages 5-12) from the surrounding area in Pendleton, OR. RCR is designed to encourage maximum participation at low cost, provide an educational experience, enhance physical and mental conditioning, and be an outlet for fun while developing track and field talents.

Who is Roundup City Racers?


The PHS T&F and XC team athletes are the coaches for the RCR participants over their one-month season and they donate A LOT of their time to do so.    RCR also acts as the main fundraising program for the Pendleton High School Track & Field and Cross Country teams. The funds raised go towards meet entries, team awards, providing gear, and much more!

Events Contested for RCR

50-meter dash, 100-meter dash, 200-meter dash 400-meter dash,800 meter run, Long Jump, Javelin, Shot Put (or Softball Put)


1500-meter run is for 9 to 12-year-olds only Softball Put is for 5,6, 7, and 8-year-olds Shot Put is for 9, 10, 11, and 12-year-olds.
