Pendleton Virtual Learning Academy is part of the Pendleton School District. We are a virtual school and offer many on-site options for students who seek interaction with peers and staff. We support families who have chosen to educate their children at home.
Yes! All middle school students can participate in extra-curricular activities at Sunridge Middle School and even in-person classes.
No. Students need to be supervised by an adult who will act as their learning coach. Schedules can be flexible and the extent of the learning coach's involvement varies on the ability of the student.
Oregon Statewide Assessment takes place each spring for grades 3-12. Students will be required to come to the district office to take math, English, and science tests. Oregon families have the right to opt students out of taking the statewide assessment in math and English language arts. Families can also request an exemption from the Oregon science assessment at the district level based on disability or religion.
If your student is struggling with concepts contact the coordinator as soon as possible. Extra support can be provided to both the learning coach and the student.
