PHS Band Expectations

• All performances, rehearsals, and band events are mandatory for all students.

• Students should be prepared daily in class with all materials. Materials include: pencils, music, reeds, instrument, etc.

• Students are expected to practice at home.

• A student present in class is expected to participate daily. They are not allowed to sit out of a class period.

• If a student is without an instrument a school instrument can be rented out to them. The bigger instruments such as tubas, baritones, etc will be rented out first. The smaller instruments such as flutes, clarinets, and saxophones are in extremely limited supply. You can go to Music and Arts' website to get started on renting your student their own instrument.

• Students using a school instrument are responsible for any damages that occur to the instrument due to their own negligence. Normal wear and tear is understood, but students have a responsibility to make these instruments last as long as possible.
