Class overview
In this class we learn to play an instrument both as an independent musician but also as a band. We play two concerts every year at school and are occasionally able to travel to other venues to play. You can even play sports and be in band!
About Mr. Judy
Mr. Judy is the band director at Surf City Middle School and is a native of Sand Creek, Michigan. His formal education includes a Bachelor's of Arts Degree from Eastern Michigan University. While at EMU he performed in the Wind Symphony for three years on tenor saxophone. Prior to working at Surf City he taught at West Pender Middle School for 5 years. Mr. Judy stays active in the band world by being a member of the Wilmington Symphonic Winds and attending concerts in the area and practicing each instrument of the ensemble.
