Welcome back to Waterville Valley Elementary School! 

The mission of our School Library Media Information Literacies Program is to ensure that students and staff can effectively locate, access, evaluate and use ideas and information as lifelong learners. Literacy and the enjoyment of reading, viewing and listening will be actively promoted. We are excited about our new reading program, Keys to Literacy. We will have a fantastic school year! 

About me:

I began my educational career as an elementary teacher (Pre K through grade 2). Later, I worked as a K-12 library media specialist, K-8 technology integrator, and then enjoyed the principalship at Campton Elementary School. I served as an Assistant Superintendent for 16 years in Plymouth until I retired from that position in 2019. 

After retiring from Central Office, I continued my library media journey at Campton, Holderness, and Waterville Valley. I am currently at Waterville Valley Elementary School on Mondays as library media technology teacher. I love working with all of the enthusiastic K-8 students, and dynamic educators!

On a personal note, my husband Roger, our 7 year old Moyen poodle Moxie, and I enjoy the "peace and quiet" of our log cedar home in Thornton, NH, surrounded by the Sandwich Notch Range with numerous moose, deer, and bear sightings. I enjoy spending time with my three beautiful grandchildren, ages 17, 24, and 27. As of June, 2024, we have a brand new great granddaughter, our ray of sunshine. One of my hobbies is geocaching  ... so many places to explore.
