Super Visa

Super Visa allows parents and grandparents of Canadian citizens and Permanent Residents to visit Canada for longer periods. All the successful applicants get 10-year multiple entry visitor visas. 

Super visa is different from an ordinary visitor visa as it allows visitors to remain in Canada for 5 years (Since July 2022) compared to 6 months for other visitors. 

Following requirements must be met by super visa applicants in addition to requirements for ordinary visitor visa:

The sponsor must meet the Minimum Necessary Income requirement for the recent tax year.

Purchase Canadian healthcare insurance of minimum $100,000 coverage for at least 1 year. (Costs around $1000 to $3000 per year)

Complete medical examination with IRCC authorized Panel Physician

A written commitment of financial support from the sponsor must be provided.
