Welcome to Pella High School! Our school has 800+ students, and we couple rich academic experiences with strong extra-curricular opportunities in order to provide a well-rounded high school education.

Pella Community Schools have consistently been highly ranked in the state of Iowa amongst all schools. Our student achievement and proficiency rates remain above the state average. Lastly, our student academic growth rates remain well above the state averages reflecting the hard work and commitment of our students and teachers.

Get to Know Mr. Manning:
My wife, Jessica, and I have three sons - Michael, Sam, and Emmett. I am passionate about my faith, family, friendships, and leading a healthy lifestyle; I enjoy swimming, biking, running, golfing, hunting, and fiddling with home projects.
Throughout my career, I have taught 3rd, 5th, and 6th grade as well as coached. I served as an assistant elementary principal in the Waukee School District and as head elementary principal in the Oskaloosa School District. In the Spring of 2011, I accepted the position of middle school principal in the Pella Community School District, and in April of 2023, I accepted the Pella High School principal role. I am committed to leading Pella HighSchool as our team creates a world-class school and educational opportunity for our students.
