All students in Creative Writing classes at Pelham High School must complete summer writing. This independent summer writing assignment allows for the practice and development of an individual writer’s voice, encourages creative written expression, and promotes life-long writing skills. Students appreciate writing as they write at their own pace. Summer Writing Journals will be utilized during the first unit in Creative Writing and students will have the opportunity to utilize material from their Summer Writing Journals in discussions and assessments throughout the course of Creative Writing as well.
