PECCI Multipurpose Cooperative (“PECCI,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects the privacy of its members and is committed to protecting personal information in accordance with Republic Act No. 10173, otherwise known as the Data Privacy Act of 2012, its Implementing Rules and Regulations, relevant issuances of the National Privacy Commission, and applicable Google Play policies.
This Privacy Policy explains how personal information is accessed, used, stored, protected, and disclosed when an authorized member uses the MyPECCI mobile application and PECCI Members Portal.
MyPECCI is an account inquiry application intended exclusively for authorized PECCI members. It provides access to the official PECCI Members Portal through an Android application.
Members may use MyPECCI to view information such as:
Savings balances and transaction history
Share capital balances
Active loans and outstanding balances
Loan details and payment information
Membership and profile information
Other PECCI account information made available through the Members Portal
An active PECCI member account and internet connection are required.
Member name
Member or employee identification number
Username and authentication information
Membership status and membership date
Company or employer information
Profile photograph, when provided
Contact and profile information maintained in PECCI’s records
Savings balances and transactions
Share capital balances
Loan accounts, balances, terms, payments, and related information
Payroll deduction information, when applicable
Other cooperative account information associated with the member
When MyPECCI or the Members Portal is accessed, PECCI’s systems may automatically process limited technical information such as:
Internet Protocol address
Device, browser, or WebView information
Date and time of access
Pages or services accessed
Authentication session and security logs
Error and diagnostic information
This information may be used to provide the service, maintain security, diagnose technical problems, and prevent unauthorized access.
Members sign in using credentials authorized by PECCI. Login credentials are transmitted through a secure HTTPS connection to PECCI’s official systems for authentication.
MyPECCI may use authentication cookies or similar session technologies to keep a member signed in and maintain the security and functionality of the session.
Members are responsible for keeping their credentials confidential and should not share their username or password with another person. Members should sign out after using MyPECCI on a shared device.
PECCI processes personal information for legitimate and authorized purposes, including:
Authenticating the member’s identity
Providing access to membership and account information
Displaying savings, share capital, loan, and related records
Maintaining and improving MyPECCI and the Members Portal
Responding to support requests and account concerns
Detecting, investigating, and preventing unauthorized access, fraud, abuse, and security incidents
Maintaining operational, audit, and security records
Complying with PECCI’s legal, regulatory, contractual, and cooperative obligations
PECCI will process personal information only for declared, specific, and legitimate purposes or as otherwise permitted or required by law.
PECCI does not sell or rent members’ personal information.
Personal information may be accessed or disclosed only when reasonably necessary to:
Authorized PECCI officers, employees, and personnel whose duties require access
Service providers or technology partners processing information on PECCI’s behalf and subject to appropriate confidentiality and security obligations
Government agencies, regulators, courts, or law-enforcement authorities when required or permitted by law
Protect the rights, property, security, or legitimate interests of PECCI, its members, and other persons
Investigate suspected fraud, unauthorized access, or security incidents
PECCI remains responsible for personal information under its control, including information processed by authorized service providers on its behalf.
PECCI uses reasonable and appropriate organizational, physical, and technical safeguards designed to protect personal information against accidental or unlawful loss, destruction, alteration, disclosure, access, or other unauthorized processing.
These safeguards may include:
HTTPS encryption during transmission
Authentication and access controls
Restricted access to authorized personnel
Session security measures
System and security logging
Network and server protections
Procedures for responding to security incidents
No electronic system or internet transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Members should promptly report any suspected unauthorized access to their account.
PECCI retains personal information only for as long as necessary to:
Maintain the member’s account and cooperative records
Provide MyPECCI and PECCI services
Fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy
Comply with legal, regulatory, accounting, audit, contractual, and record-retention obligations
Establish, exercise, or defend legal claims
Resolve disputes and investigate security incidents
When information is no longer required, it will be securely deleted, anonymized, archived, or otherwise handled in accordance with PECCI’s retention policies and applicable law.
Subject to the conditions and limitations provided by law, members may have the right to:
Be informed about the processing of their personal information
Access personal information held by PECCI
Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information
Object to certain processing activities
Request blocking, removal, deletion, or destruction of information when legally appropriate
Withdraw consent when processing is based on consent
Request data portability when applicable
File a complaint with the National Privacy Commission
Seek compensation for damages resulting from violations of their data privacy rights
Some information may need to be retained despite a deletion or objection request when required by law, regulation, PECCI’s legitimate obligations, or the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims.
MyPECCI does not provide public or self-service account creation. Access is based on an existing PECCI membership and credentials authorized by PECCI.
Members who wish to request the correction, restriction, deactivation, or deletion of an online account or associated personal information may contact PECCI using the email address below. PECCI will evaluate each request in accordance with membership requirements, legal obligations, and applicable retention rules.
PECCI may require verification of the requester’s identity before processing a privacy or account request.
MyPECCI may be downloaded through Google Play and operates using components provided by the Android operating system. Google or the device manufacturer may independently process certain device, installation, diagnostic, or usage information under their respective privacy policies.
PECCI is not responsible for the independent privacy practices of platforms or services it does not control.
MyPECCI is intended for authorized PECCI members and is not directed toward children. PECCI does not knowingly provide MyPECCI accounts directly to children unless authorized and processed in accordance with applicable laws and PECCI membership policies.
PECCI may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in MyPECCI, PECCI’s services, legal requirements, or privacy practices.
The revised policy will be posted on PECCI’s official website with an updated effective date. Members are encouraged to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
