Your instructor for this school year is Mr. R. Crawford. His career in public education began in 1997 and since that time he has taught parochial, charter and public schools, both here in Texas and the United Kingdom. Overlapping with this second career he honorably retired from the US armed forces in 2005 following twenty five years of service in which he served in all four branches.
He grew up in San Antonio where he attended South San Antonio High School West Campus before enlisting in the military. He has lived across the continental United States and in Europe and the Pacific. He holds a graduate degree in military studies and an undergraduate in occupational education. He is certified by the Texas Education Agency as a classroom teacher. Prior to his current position he taught advanced placement studies (AP) for Dallas ISD.
In 2007 he was inducted to the 10th Edition of ‘Who’s Who of American Teachers’. In addition to his military decorations he holds a number of education awards including teacher of the year (2018), for DISD. He has completed one manuscript, looking to get it published and is completing another, also earmarked for publication.
