Our Class Mission
Our class mission is to become well-rounded, responsible, respectful and prepared citizens. In order to achieve our class goal we will promote and practice empathy, understanding, and a growth mindset in our classroom. In the world of ELA we will embark on adventures through reading, and writing. Our journey will take us through various genres, and stories that can connect with each and everyone of us. Enjoy the journey, and embrace the challenges as opportunities to learn and grow! Don't be afraid to ask questions, try something new, challenge yourself to be your BEST!
A Little Bit About Me!
Personal:
Hi! My name is Miss McCarren and I live in Rockland County with my family. This is my third year at PRMS teaching 6th grade ELA. I love all things reading, and writing. As my students know, I am a HUGE sports fan. I am always VERY excited on Monday mornings when the Giants pull out a HUGE win. Outside of school, I enjoy coaching sports, being outside, going on hikes, being at the beach, cooking, baking, and spending time with friends and family.
Education:
I graduated from Suffern High School, then went on to receive my Bachelor of Science degree in Childhood Education grades 1-6 from St. Thomas Aquinas College. I am currently enrolled at Manhattanville College working towards getting my master's degree in Special Education grades 1-6.
Philosophy:
I LOVE teaching. The reason why I went into the teaching profession, is for my students. I will always be their biggest cheerleader (next to YOU) inside and outside of the classroom.
