Panther Pride---I’m a 3rd generation panther. My grandfather and father were CHS graduates before me. Both of my boys, Chase and Beckett were CHS graduates and now my grandson, Waylon, is following our Panther tradition making us 5 generations of panthers. It goes back to our community, the people within our community and schools. The support and love we have for one another. We rise when there is a need. When one falls, we all fall. We come together after years apart yet it feels like we were just together yesterday. Our roots are deep yet no matter where we may go, we know that this is home. Our school and community are family and to have that growing up and part of my role of parenting is comforting. I’m beyond proud of where I came from, the school I represented and am alumni of, and the town that I still reside in. There’s something special about being a panther.

Meetings
Academic Boosters meet 1x a month at CHS at 6:00pm the first Wednesday of the month and our meetings are open to anyone whishing to come and support academics at CHS.
Academic Boosters Policies and Procedures
The CHS Academic Boosters was formed in June of 1998 and is solely a non-profit organization.
The purpose of the organization is to promote academic achievement by students in every phase of the curriculum.
To support teacher and administration efforts to strengthen academic performance at CHS
To utilize parent and community knowledge, talent, and creativity to enhance life and experiences at CHS.
To increase public awareness of Chesapeake High School students’ academic achievements and activities.
To generate and solicit funds for assisting in sponsoring, promoting, and coordinating the furtherance of academic achievement at Chesapeake High School.
To conduct all such activities as may be appropriate to carry out the objectives of the Chesapeake Academic Boosters Club.
Currently, the main fundraiser is the Annual Spring Reverse Raffle.
The Academic Boosters support and recognize students’ academic achievements through our Senior Salute Award, Academic Booster Scholarships, Honor Graduate Honor Medallion, and provide financial support for the Student of the Quarter, as well as rewarding students at the annual Academic Celebration.
