“DRY BONSAI” is a new style of bonsai that is maintenance free, easy, non-withering, and beautiful. There are some bonsai that should live for many years, but die due to life expectancy or mistakes. We carefully select them, remove the soil, dry the entire tree, prune off the useless branches and roots and complete the bonsai by shaping it.Then we add our own dried foliage to add a new charm to the original feeling of the bonsai.
Shigeo Fujita developed “DRY BONSAI” as a new maintenance-free bonsai style to become a global standard.He registered the trademark as the innovative “DRY BONSAI” in 2018 and opened the “DRY BONSAI” Tokyo GINZA Salon in March 2019. The "DRY BONSAI KYOTO SALON" opened in November 2023. Our collaboration with Rolls-Royce has received excellent reviews worldwide, and we are introducing the appeal of “DRY BONSAI” to the world through luxury hotels, various space designs, exhibitions, and workshops.
At the DRY BONSAI Kyoto Salon, we exhibit and sell over 50 unique DRY BONSAI creations.
In addition to our main "DRY BONSAI" brand, you can also enjoy pieces unique to Kyoto, such as our "kare BONSAI" line, which features beautiful Kyo-yaki and Kiyomizu-yaki pottery. Our diverse lineup ranges from items perfect for adorning your private space at home to large-scale works that can serve as a symbol for commercial facilities.
