WPU defines Immersive Learning as “a transformational experience connecting the classroom to the world. Students grow intellectually through mentorship, collaboration, reflection, and learning by doing. Immersive Learning at William Peace University empowers students to become future leaders, global citizens, effective collaborators, and creative problem-solvers.” Examples of Immersive Learning at WPU include HIPs such as undergraduate research, peer and mentor collaboration, intentional group work, expert feedback, community partnerships, hands-on or experiential learning, service-learning, study-away, simulated or actual professional experiences, and internships.
