Pre-Registration for the Spring 2025 Seal of Biliteracy Test is Now Open!
Completing and submitting the Pre-Registration form is your opportunity to let your school know that you are considering taking the upcoming STAMP test (or alternative for less common languages) to earn the Seal of Biliteracy on your diploma. At this time, you are just letting the school know about your interest in taking the test, so no payment is needed to pre-register. The test will be in April. Exact dates are still being determined.
Please consider the following before you complete the pre-registration form below:
Typically, students excelling in a Level 3 or 4 Honors World Language course should be able to attain the minimum qualifying score equivalent of an Intermediate-High proficiency level on the test. However, it is not necessary for students to be enrolled in a World Language course to be able to take the test to earn the seal. All students who have met or will meet their graduation and English proficiency requirements and believe they are also proficient in another language are encouraged to pre-register to express their interest in taking the test. Students with a good command of the English langauge may take the Seal of Biliteracy test in any grade; students' scores for the tests will be saved and they may receive their award once they have met their English proficiency requirements and other graduation requirements.
The school will notify interested students whether or not they are on track to meet the graduation and English proficiency criteria. Qualifying students will be encouraged to register for the 2025 STAMP test in that notification.
The STAMP tests (or alternate proficiency tests) typically cost $24.90 and must be be paid prior to sitting for the test in April. Financial assistance may be available for income qualified students. We are currently working on funding and hope to cover the cost for ALL students that wish to test.
