SIAM PDX
SIAM (The Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics) has Student Chapters around the world as a way to promote interdisciplinary contributions in the early stages of our development and integrate students into the scientific environment, aimed at students interested in computational and applied mathematics.
The Portland State University Chapter was created to organize activities for students in science, engineering, math, and statistics, because of furthering the development of scientific and leadership skills. We manage student resources such as seminar talks, workshops in the computer lab, field trips, and more!
How to join
Chapter meetings and membership are open to all PSU students and faculty! To become a member of the Chapter and receive announcements of our current activities, please access PSU Connect and look for the Student Chapter of the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM) at Portland State University.
