Location and Travel Information
Portland State University (PSU) is located in downtown Portland, about a 25 minute drive from the Portland International Airport. The airport is serviced by most major airlines and is a hub of Alaska Airlines. Regional participants can also travel by train directly into the downtown Amtrak Union Station (located at 800 NW Sixth Ave) .
Students from the Pacific Northwest region are encouraged to apply for travel support (provided by SIAMPNW).
From Airport to PSU: Take the light rail (called MAX) Red line from airport to downtown, then transfer to MAX Green line, headed south, at Pioneer Square Station, and alight at SW Mill Station (second last stop) where you will find PSU. The conference venue is two blocks to the right of the train.

From Amtrak Station to PSU: Take the light rail (MAX) Green line from the Union Station headed south and alight at the last or second last stop as mentioned above.
Conference Venue: The conference location is in Smith Memorial Student Union (SMSU, located at 1825 SW Broadway), rooms 296 and 298 (combined). SMSU can be found on the interactive campus map (and is highlighted below).

Neither PSU parking nor downtown parking are free on Saturdays. The nearest parking garage is PSU Parking Structure 1 (the parking fee is about $7.00). The next nearest is the Shattuck parking lot.
