About Us

The PSU Food Pantry is a resource for currently enrolled students to acquire food items on a regular basis in a welcoming, inclusive, dignified environment.

Our Story:

The PSU Food Pantry was established by a group of students in ASPSU in 2012. We started as a small, student-run pantry on a single shelf, in hopes to better serve the ever-growing food insecure population of students at PSU. Over the years, we have become a partner agency of the Oregon Food Bank, received more financial donations, and changed space, but we continue to be an organization led entirely by students, for students.

Today we provide food for nearly 2,000 students annually, assist students in accessing government assistance, and provide a safe, inclusive space for PSU's diverse student population.

How to use the PSU Food Pantry (During COVID-19):

(1) Make an appointment on this site!

(2) Arrive on-time for your appointment and make sure to have your PSU Student ID, or other proof of student status, to show our pantry staff when you arrive for your appointment; also, please wear a mask and bring your own reusable bag(s)!

(3) Answer our two questions: Have you visited the PSU Food Pantry before? and, Are you a current student?

Then,

(4) Pick food items from our selection, which usually includes produce, canned goods, and cold-stored items.

Then you're done!

*We encourage you to bring your own bags! We rely heavily on donated reusable, plastic, or paper bags.
