Dr. Yang's research concerns how workers navigate stressful and motivating aspects of their work environment, in order to maintain their well-being and productivity. Specifically, her work focuses on workplace mistreatment and its prevention in relation to occupational health and safety, worker engagement and affect regulation, and quantitative methodology.
Dr. Crain's research examines workplace health and safety, sleep and fatigue in relation to work, and work-family stressors. Her work often takes place in high-risk job settings and with underrepresented communities.
Dr. Mohr's research concerns interpersonal relationships and health among couples and in the workplace, particularly positive relationship processes that improve psychological well-being and buffer against stress-related behavior.
Dr. Randall's research provides insights into key workforce challenges, including how to (a) promote lifelong learning and development, (b) stimulate engagement in the face of distractions, and (c) reduce bias in personnel assessment. His studies are mixed-methods and he works closely with community partners in healthcare, education, and the military.
Dr. Paoletti-Hatcher’s research examines the way work-life experiences affect self-reported wellbeing, biological processes associated with quality of life, and diseases of older adulthood. She uses a biopsychosocial approach to study positive and/or stressful work-life experiences and associated interpersonal processes.
Dr. Dover's research focuses on the impacts of discrimination, stigma, and inequality on health and wellbeing. She has a particular focus on the impacts of organizational diversity initiatives on overrepresented and underrepresented groups, and often utilizes lab-based and field-based psychophysiological methods.
Dr. Hammer's research interests include work and family issues, employee mental health, total worker health, and more broadly employee well-being. She is currently the Director of the Oregon Healthy Workforce Center, Total Worker Health® Center of Excellence and the Associate Director for Applied Research in the Oregon Institute of Occupational Health Sciences, Oregon Health & Science University.
