Research 2 action team
We established a Research-2-Action Team (R2A Team) to help improve the research project and to support folks in this housing to voice their own ideas for how to make the neighborhood and community better. We invited people with ties to N/NE Portland, especially those who are housed through the Preference Policy, to join the R2A Team. Prior research experience was not needed; all members received a stipend for participating.
What is the role of the R2A Team?
Oversight: The R2A team will review and revise the study materials, like outreach messages, survey and interview questions. The team will help interpret the results of the surveys and interviews to put information into context.
Outreach: The R2A team will help recruit folks to participate in the research and help let folks know about the results of the study through sharing reports and doing presentations in the community.
Organizing: The R2A team will help bring community members together to learn more about how to organize and advocate for their own priorities in N/NE.Â
