Q: I got assigned a chapter, now what?
A: Congratulations! The first step after being assigned a chapter is to REPLY ALL to the assignment email and introduce yourself to the chapter advisor. Then you can work individually with the advisor to confirm meeting times and any additional work the school requires visitors to complete.
Q: I have a midterm/final/appointment/etc. during my assigned chapter meeting time! What do I do?
A: No worries if it is a one time thing. Email Jonas Hudnall and your advisor letting them know you will not be attending the chapter meeting due to your conflict. You will still need to fill out the weekly mentor report and note that you did not attend. We understand that tests and appointments happen, however this should not be a regular occurrence. If your schedule changes and might require a chapter reassignment then immediately email Jonas Hudnall about it.
Q: I have a question about my day to day responsibilities as a mentor! Who do I contact?
A: Contact Jonas Hudnall, jhudnall@pdx.edu, for all things regarding MESA and mentoring. In circumstances Jonas is out of office message ormesa@pdx.edu for any assistance.
