PSU On-Campus Housing
The housing priority deadline for new, incoming students was June 15, 2024.
Students who applied by this date: guaranteed housing, choice of room type.
It’s still possible to sign-up for on-campus housing. Learn how to sign-up for on-campus housing.
Students should regularly check their PDX.EDU email for updates, room assignments, and roommate information.
Important Dates:
Mid-late August: Room/Roommate assignments and move-in times will be emailed to students with confirmed on-campus housing.
August 23: Deadline to sign-up for optional early move-in for international students. View information and learn how to sign-up below.
September 18-20: Early move-in for international students.
September 26-27: Regular Move-in Date for PSU students.
Defer Housing Contract to a Future Term:
Completed on-campus housing application but have not received a housing assignment: email housing@pdx.edu to defer to a future term.
Completed on-campus housing application and received a housing assignment: You need to cancel your contract and reactivate it for a future term. There is a reactivation fee in addition to any cancellation fees that may apply.
Cancel Housing Contract:
If a student needs to cancel their contract they need to email housing@pdx.edu to start the process. The housing team can answer any questions and help with any questions.
Housing Payment:
Payments are made online at MyPSU, or in-person by cash/check at the Cashier Office
Full term rates are billed at the beginning of each term unless the PSU Payment Plan is established.

Optional Early Move-in For Intl Students
If an international student has confirmed their on-campus housing, they can apply to move in earlier than the regular on-campus move in date on September 26. This is to allow international students to arrive and settle into their housing before the in-person International Student Orientation (Graduate on September 20 and Undergraduate/Post-bacc on September 24).
Deadline to apply for early move-in: Wednesday, August 23.
Early Move-In Dates: September 18, 19 and 20 (this is 6-8 days before the regular move in date on September 26, 2024)
How to Sign-up: Sign-up through PSU Housing Portal.
Rates: $26 ~ $67 depending on the building (most rooms are $26 ~ $39)
Check-in: 10:30am-11:30pm at the Montgomery Service Desk
Housing will provide a limited number of carts to support students moving in, but will not be able to provide parking permits.
Students who would like to move-in between September 21 and the regular move-in date of September 26 should contact housing directly. It might be possible but would need to be arranged and confirmed with housing.

Temporary Place to stay (before On-campus move-in)
Good option if you are arriving late and won’t be able to check-in by 11:30pm.
University Place Hotel (next to PSU) is offering a discount for international students. Email Jill Townley, Associate Director of International Student Life, Office of International Student and Scholar Services. She will help triage a room with a discount for you. Utilities are included (electric, water, gas, and wireless internet)
Room Furnishing:
Furnished units include a bed, desk, desk chair, and dresser.
Unfurnished units do not have furniture.
First Year Experience (FYE) Program (qualifying students include: students under the age of 20 who graduated from high school less than a year prior to enrolling at PSU, students who took a gap year after high school, students with less than 30 college credits).
Each student will be part of a learning community.
All First-year housing students are required to register for meal plans.
