Housing Overview

It is very important to have temporary or permanent housing before you arrive to Portland and begin your studies at Portland State University. As an international student with an F-1 or J-1 visa, immigration regulations allow you to arrive no more than 30 days before the start date listed on your I-20 or DS-2019.

This website is available to you as a guide and introduction to the various housing options including on-campus housing, off-campus housing, and homestays.
