State & Other
GIS Data Resources

The following lists have been compiled in order to provide a reasonable starting point for accessing authoritative GIS data for US states & territories and beyond.

State GIS Data

The following list contains data resources for every US state, Washington DC, and a few US territories. Some states have a central hub for geospatial data, while others collect geospatial data across multiple agencies. For some states with sparse, disparate, or piecemeal data collection, we have provided links to GIS data guides that are often compiled by state university libraries.

We cannot guarantee that the data you need can be found in these sites, nor can we verify the accuracy or up-to-datedness.  While many states have open (freely accessible) GIS data portals, some states and/or agencies require users to create accounts, pay for subscriptions, or pay for individual datasets.
