About Sponsorship
Sponsor A Fellow
Our Oregon Summer and Hatfield Resident Fellowships are designed to provide organizations like yours an affordable and low-risk way to enlist talented masters and Ph.D. students whose fresh ideas, intelligence, energy, and commitment to public service can help you perform a critical analysis, complete a needed project, or work on an acute problem on your to-do list.
All sponsors are required to submit a Sponsor Application that includes the proposed project's Statement of Work (SOW) as well as the Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) desired of the ideal fellow candidate.

Sponsorship
By using a standard Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) between Portland State and your organization, we provide a streamlined and stress-free placement process. The sponsor fee covers the recruitment, placement, wages, and administration of the Fellow, so your organization does not incur additional costs. Please review the corresponding deadline based on your desired start date (start dates can range between May-September). Program costs are also listed below and relative to each fellowship model.
Sponsors with a “strategic sourcing” perspective are able to use either or both fellowship models to field test talented prospective employees while gaining invaluable on-site capacity, perspective, and relationships. These fellowships are ultimately about organizational renewal: attracting and capturing exceptional project management talent for today’s challenges and tomorrow’s unknowns.
