After serving students at Portland State University and partner institutions for 10 years, BUILD EXITO is in its final year of grant funding. Consequently, we are no longer able to accept new students into our program. We encourage students to refer to the Center for Internship, Mentoring, and Research (CIMR) to explore other research opportunities at PSU.

BUILD EXITO is a National Institutes of Health-funded biomedical research training program for underrepresented and diverse students interested in solving the world's most pressing health issues through research.
Applicants must be currently majoring in or planning on majoring in a health science discipline. Learn more about majors here: BUILD EXITO's biomedical majors

Portland Metro Area Partners: Applicants are welcome from Portland State University, Portland Community College, Clark College, and Clackamas Community College.
Pacific Rim Partners: Applicants are welcome from the University of Guam, Northern Marianas College, American Samoa Community College, and the University of Alaska, Anchorage.
