ASPRS GIS DAY 2021 MAP CONTEST!

DESCRIPTION:
To celebrate GIS Day, the ASPRS Student Advisory Council (SAC) will be hosting a casual Map Cartography Contest! Maps can be made on any platform (including hand-drawn).
Maps should be submitted by individuals and are limited to one map submission per person (one person per map, one map per person).
ENTRY:
You must be a current ASPRS Student Member to enter the contest! To join ASPRS now, click here. Please send your map title, description, school you attend, and file (or link) to lmck2@pdx.edu before November 17th, 2021 at 11:59 PM PST.
VOTING:
Come vote on the best maps at our SAC meeting in Zoom on Thursday November 18th from 10:00 – 11:00 AM PST. (Add to Calendar) All meeting attendees are welcome to vote.
PRIZES:
Recognition will be given to the top 5 maps*. These winners will receive a free ArcGIS for Personal Use license for one year and will have their map displayed in the Poster Gallery at the ASPRS Annual Conference at Geo Week in February 2022. Winners will also be offered a position as a Student Volunteer at the Annual Conference. Student volunteers are required to work approximately 10-12 hours and receive complementary ASPRS Conference registration and a shared hotel room (2 volunteers per room).
Note - this year we had 6 winners due to a tie for 5th place.
