Fire prevention and Community education

This group is responsible for educating the public about fire prevention and safety. They do this through the avenues of social media, events, demos, walk throughs, station tours, fire inspections, school visits and our annual open house.

Rope rescue and confined space

Our Rope Rescue Team is responsible for situations that involve confined space, low angle rescues and high angle rescues. They use a variety of different equipment including life safety ropes, carabiners, change of direction systems, harnesses, helmets and rescue baskets.

Water and ice rescue

Our Water and Ice Rescue Team utilizes our boat and a ropes rescue team for a variety of calls:  stranded boats, distress calls on or near the water, flooding, ice rescues, wildland firefighting operations, water recoveries, and anytime operations are in or around bodies of water.

wildland fire and rescue

Our wildland fire and rescue team carries equipment and tools to respond to calls such as:  brush, tree and vegetation fires, hikers that may be injured or lost and off-road accidents. The apparatus needs to be able to traverse difficult terrain of mud, snow, gravel, rocks as well as paved surfaces.

Our Brush Truck (B2) is our primary response vehicle for wildland fires. It carries water, hoses, a pump and tools.

Our Brush 3 UTV (B3) compliments B2 in wildland fire fighting with the water and tools it carries.

B3 is primary for off-road operations in any weather conditions such as lost persons, snowmobile accidents, injured hikers.
