A student must earn a minimum of 30 credits, including 18 compulsory credits and 12 optional credits.
All students must complete 40 hours of community involvement to graduate with a diploma. You can start accumulating hours in the summer before grade 9. try to complete your 40 hours by the end of grade 10.
All students must successfully complete the Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test to receive their diploma
Online Learning Graduation Requirement
The Ontario Ministry of Education has introduced a new graduation requirement for secondary students to complete two online learning credits as part of the thirty credits required for the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD).
