Lesbian Gay Bi Trans Youth LineYouth Line provides service for youth, by youth that affirms the experiences and aspirations of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transsexual, transgender, 2-spirited, queer and questioning youth in Ontario.

LGBTTQQIAAP - Family Services of PeelLesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Transsexual, Queer, Questioning, Intersex, Asexual, Ally, Pansexual. In spite of growing cultural acceptance of diverse sexual orientations and gender identifications, oppression and discrimination of the LGBTTQQIAAP community continues. Coping with discrimination and oppression and coming out to one’s family, can lead to higher risk for depression and other mental health conditions.

SAFE, SUPPORTIVE & GENDER-AFFIRMING SERVICES

Transgender and non-binary clients are a priority at Queen Square Family Health Team (QSFHT). QSFHT provides individuals with safe, supportive, and gender-affirming health and counselling services.

Peel has accomplished new levels of success addressing intersectional social justices. However, 2SLGBTQ+ communities still face transphobic and homophobic violence leading to social isolation, lack of belonging, physical and emotional distress, and an overall lack of visibility within the landscape of the region. The 2SLGBTQ+ Collaborative is made up of 13 organizations working in the community service sector. This table seeks to champion meaningful 2SLGBTQ+ inclusion by taking a community-based and community-centered approach to equity.

The YBB Program provides confidential services for youth ages 12-17 who identify as 2SLGBTQ+. The program offers in-person and/or virtual individual counselling, weekly youth groups, and community capacity building around 2SLGBTQ+ inclusion.

The Pride Committee is a volunteer organization, with the goal of bringing Gays, Lesbians, Bisexuals, Transgendered, and our allies together in Peel Region.
