#WELLinPEEL: Mental Health Week
May 4-10, 2020
What is Mental Health Week?
Each year, Ontarians mark the first full week of May as
Mental Health Week
. This important week is about:
•
Promoting mental health and well-being
•
Increasing awareness
of the
signs of mental health problems
•
Decreasing stigma
•
Understanding that
help is available and it works!
PDSB is pleased to share Mental Health Awareness Activities for Families:
Our daily themes,
'Connect', 'Stay Active', 'Keep Learning', 'Give Back'
and
'Take Notice'
highlight everyday practices that promote mental wellness and resilience. Within this site, you'll find:
•
Family Activities
•
Resources for parents/guardians
•
Information on how to get help
We encourage Principals and school staff to share this toolkit with
students and families
in support of Mental Health Awareness week.
Feel free to share your family's activities using #WELLinPEEL
