SHAUNA HUNT

MEADOWVALE - 2002

Born and raised in Mississauga, Hunt always had a knack for talking and asking the question “why?” — making journalism a natural career choice. Shauna studied broadcast journalism at Fanshawe College in London, where she says she was bitten by “the bug.”

Her career began in 2003 at a radio station in small-town Chatham, Ont., where, after only 4 months, she moved on to AM640 Toronto Radio and quickly learned just how thrilling and exciting reporting could be in Canada’s biggest city. A year and a half later, she made the move to 680News where she spent 5 years covering countless hard news stories, including the G20 riots, the Tori Stafford abduction and murder, the Tamil protests, the Wildcat TTC strike, the Vaughan tornadoes and the Col. Russell Williams murders. Shauna recently won an RTNDA award and an Edward R. Murrow award for her G20 coverage.
