Communication Technology is a program that provides an excellent opportunity for all students to develop a skills-set used in business, marketing and sales.
Here aspiring graphic designers, web developers, animators and radio, television, and film producers learn what it's like to work in the fast paced media world. This course is ideal for the university or college bound student who is interested in a career in any aspect of media, public relations, or advertising.
At Louise Arbour Secondary School our lab is equipped with Apple iMac computers, and industry standard video and audio production gear.
TGJ2O Communications Technology, Grade 10, Open
This course introduces students to communications technology from a media perspective.
TGJ3M Communications Technology, Grade 11, University/College Preparation
Students will develop knowledge and skills as they design and produce media projects in the areas of live, recorded, and graphic communications.
TGJ4M Communications Technology, Grade 12, University/College Preparation
Students may work in the areas of TV, video, and movie production; radio and audio production; print and graphic communications; photography; digital imaging; broadcast journalism; and interactive new media.
