One Stop Talk
One Stop Talk offers children, youth (within 18 years of age) and their families immediate access to free mental health support. The program offers single session counselling support and ensures direct referral to additional services when needed. Services are provided through an integrated network of infant, child and youth mental health agencies across Ontario.
RESILIENCE is a 4-6-session weekly group, culturally adapted, evidence-based therapeutic group for middle and high school students who self-identify as Black, African, African-Canadian, African-Caribbean, African-Indigenous, and part of the African diaspora. Sessions are facilitated by PDSB Black mental
health clinicians. The RESILIENCE mission is to be a culturally specific, proactive therapeutic support that empowers Black students to foster a sense of positive identity and enhance well-being.

Let's Talk Be Well Workshops for Secondary Students (Jan 14, 15, and 16 from 4-5 pm virtually) - these are one-time workshops that students can attend. They can attend one or more of the 1-hour sessions. The topics may be helpful to students as they prepare for exams later this month (flyer attached).

Youth Have Stress Too is a 5 session weekly therapeutic group offered to middle and high school students. This group provides students the opportunity to learn and practice stress reduction and management techniques. Students will also demonstrate an awareness of what triggers stress and anxiety while learning healthy coping strategies to support their wellbeing.

CALMM - COPING, ACCEPTING, LETTING GO, MOVING ON-MINDFULLY is an 8-session, therapeutic group for high school students (grades 9-12) who struggle with managing difficult emotions and for whom emotional dysregulation leads to making poor or impulsive decisions, problematic behaviors, and interpersonal difficulties. The purpose of this group is to help students deepen their understanding of emotions and learn to manage them more effectively. VParticipants will have the opportunity to learn and practice skills in mindfulness, emotion regulation, and distress tolerance, along with healthy coping mechanisms for dealing with intense emotions and practical techniques for managing emotional distress.

AFFIRM is a 5-session weekly therapeutic group offered to middle and high school students who identify as Two-Spirit and LGBTQIA+. The group provides students with an opportunity to build community and meet other Two-Spirit and LGBTQIA+ youth, learn coping skills for stress management, decrease unhelpful thoughts, and feel better about themselves and their lives.

AFFIRM Caregiver is a virtual, 7-session evidence informed group program designed to help parents and caregivers build confidence and skills to support their Two-Spirit and LGBTQIA+ youth. Through engaging discussions and activities, these sessions will help parents and caregivers explore and better understand Two-Spirit and LGBTQIA+ identities and the needs of their child. Participants will learn about the importance of affirming and compassionate parenting practices that support their child’s well-being. Topics include:
· Two-Spirit and LGBTQIA+ identities and experiences
· Understanding the impact of anti-Two-Spirit and LGBTQIA+ attitudes and behaviors
· Supporting Two-Spirit and LGBTQIA+ youth through the coming out process
· Compassionate caregiving
· Overcoming barriers and building hope through goal-setting
· Developing safe, affirming support networks, and more.
All who support Two-Spirit and LGBTQIA+ young people are welcome, including adoptive parents, kinship, chosen, and foster families.
