Explore Poetry

Have your child complete any of the following activities:

read the poem together
read the poem using different voices (e.g., whisper voice, monster voice, loud voice, mouse voice, robot voice etc.)
count how many words are in the poem
add some colour to the poem sheet or draw their own picture to go along with the poem
choose some words from the poem and build them using LEGO, playdough, sticks etc.
circle letters they recognize, words they know, rhyming words
add some actions to the poem
try to memorize the poem and recite it for family members
