EHS is a Peel District School Board pathway program that allows secondary schools with Specialist High Skills Major (SHSM) programs, to offer a unique program choice for grade 9 and 10 students. Please make sure to visit EHS Application Page to apply.

Students enrolled in the program will gain the unique experience of developing community and leadership skills through the Healthy Active Living (PPL1OU) and Learning Strategies course (GLS1OU). They will begin using sports as a tool to explore and build self-confidence, learn essential skills, begin to take initiative and develop a community within David Suzuki.

EHS students will also gain the following experiences:

• Students will earn 20 hours of community service

• Certifications through sector specific community partners

• Reach ahead experiences through the exploration of post secondary and career opportunities

• Skills and knowledge essential to becoming exemplary candidates for our SHSM R.I.S.E program in Grade 11 and 12.
