Welcome to your coding resource site . My name is Bushra Shahid and I have complied a variety of resources at one platform to support your coding learning needs. I created my 1st coding resources site in 2015 and created it in the classic site first which I transferred to modern Google site later with most up-to date resources and links. This site is designed in such a manner to provide access to a variety of resources at one place to make it easier to navigate. The links and resources provided here are like a compass to navigate and not a map to follow; i.e., you may use these links to help you plan by differentiating instructions according to the learning needs and styles of each individual in your classroom. This website will provide you with links to resources and information about coding and it's importance in the Elementary grades.
Coding is the digital literacy of 21st century. Students in 21st century are growing in the age of technology and devices. When they use these devices, they must be aware of the fact about how these devices actually works. When teaching students about the programming behind the devices that we use, we are actually giving them an environment to learn programming and it requires computational thinking, which is embedded throughout the Ontario Curriculum.
As a result of this, teachers can incorporate coding into curriculum to provide students an opportunity to explore computational thinking and problem solving skills.
