This week, our school has come alive with the magic of Peter Pan, as our talented students from Year 3 to Year 6 take to the stage. With one performance already delighting our children and two more to come for parents, this has been a true community effort—one that showcases the very best of teamwork, creativity, and dedication.
The hard work behind the scenes has been extraordinary. Our students have committed their time after school, learning lines, songs, and choreography. Staff have poured their energy into directing, music, and set design, while parents have generously contributed—including the stunning Neverland backdrop that transforms our stage into something truly spectacular.
Productions like this do more than entertain—they build confidence, foster collaboration, and create memories that last a lifetime. The children will look back on this experience with pride, remembering not just the applause, but the camaraderie and sense of achievement that comes from creating something greater together.
This is a celebration for our whole school community—a reminder of what we can achieve when we unite behind a shared goal. Thank you to everyone involved for making Peter Pan such a special event. Looking forward to the next 2 nights !

Our Reception children were delighted by a magical performance of Peter Pan, brought to life by our talented older pupils. The younger students were captivated as they watched the classic tale unfold. This enchanting experience not only entertained but also inspired our youngest learners, sparking their imagination. A heartfelt thank you to our senior students for sharing their creativity and bringing joy to our Reception classes also.

Each day, whether in class or during our library sessions, we’re thinking about what we like and dislike about the books we read. We love talking about our favourite books with our friends and are learning how to recommend books that match their interests too. We’re excited to see how our reading tastes grow as we continue to explore new stories and ideas!
Year 3 have connected their learning to the SDG 15 (Life on Land) and the SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production) by researching the layers of the rainforest and discovering how each layer supports different plants and animals.

They understood why rainforests are so important for biodiversity and sustainable use of resources. The children then applied their knowledge by building creative dioramas and discussing simple actions, like cutting down on paper waste and sharing what they’ve learned, in order to help protect these vital ecosystems.
This week in Year 5, the children went with the flow—diving deeper into their IPC topic on rivers.

Each child selected a river from anywhere in the world to research. Some chose rivers they had visited, others picked ones they hope to explore, and many selected rivers from their home countries.
To bring our research together, we began plotting these rivers on a world map, colouring them in and noticing how many connect through nearby seas. This collaborative task highlighted both the differences and shared connections in our rivers—reminding us that while rivers may travel alone, they often flow into something greater together.
Our PTA are organising and inviting children to a school dance on the afternoon of Wednesday 11th June!
Please save the date - more details to follow in due course...
