Please complete this form if you would like to attend.

Miss Amy, Leader for Phase 1

Year 1 - IPC Super Humans

This week we have been focusing on how amazing our senses are by testing each one of them out. We have loved the activities where we have had to guess the objects using each of our senses. We talked about how clever our brains were to be able to connect a smell, taste, touch, sound, sight with familiar objects.

Ms Emma and Mr Mohsin

Year 3- IPC Island Life

The children in Year 3 have enjoyed taking part in activities during which they have been able to share what they already know about islands. They were challenged to draw a world map from memory which was tricky but lots of fun! We then revisited our knowledge of continents, oceans, tropics and the equator.  We had some very interesting discussions as an outcome of completing our Knowledge Harvests and the children had many inquisitive questions about islands. To test our knowledge, we took part in a quiz which was very entertaining!

Ms Liz, Ms Maalia and Ms Naomi

Year 4- IPC 'Chocolate' Entry Point

This week we immersed our senses in all things chocolate! Our classrooms transformed into chocolate laboratories and, using our 5 senses, we investigated key questions to find out more about chocolate such as; can we identify different flavours of chocolate, does the taste of chocolate change when we don’t use our sense of smell, and how long does it take chocolate to melt in our hands?

Ms Eimear, Ms Arlene and Ms Iftin

Year 5 - IPC 'Titanic' Knowledge Harvest

Despite being submerged for over a 100 years, The RMS Titanic continues to captivate interest and create intrigue. Therefore, it was unsurprising that the children had a wealth of prior knowledge. There will be several opportunities for the children to flex their creativity throughout this topic and we are looking forward to exploring the infamous shipwreck in greater depth. Pun unintended!

Ms Joanna and Ms Munira

Year 6- Seussical Jr

Our talented Year 6 children have been working hard in their rehearsals for the end of year performance of Seussical Jr. This week, there was a focus on the songs 'Biggest Blame Fool' and 'Oh! The Thinks You can Think'. There were some amazing vocals from the Sour Kangaroo; lots of monkeying around from the Wickersham Brothers; and plenty of confidence from the Bird Girls.

Mr Neil and Ms Leanne

Personal Goal of the Month: Collaborator

To celebrate this month's personal goal of collaboration, classes have been engaging in team-based activities across the school. It has been wonderful to see children work together towards a united goal and enjoy their shared success, both through work and play! Next month's dedicated personal goal will be communicator and we look forward to sharing the goal-orientated tasks the children will be immersed in throughout May.  Stay tuned!

Ms Munira - IPC Leader for Learning

EYFS

In the Construction Room, children worked together to create a track to use for their toy cars using recycled materials.

Phase 1

Children pooled their knowledge to complete a labelled diagram of the human body.

Phase 2

It was a race against the clock, as groups of children joined forces to solve puzzles and problems in this interactive Escape Room challenge!

Phase 3

Demonstrating a keen collaborative spirit was essential to mastering the 'Caterpillar'! Working as one, the children moved the 'tracks' to race across the gym.

International Market Day

The PTA are hosting the highly popular International Market Day on Saturday 13th May from 10am to 2pm. This is a great opportunity for the whole community to come together and share some cultural delights ranging from food, art and various other activities which celebrate our diversity. There will be lots going on throughout the day to keep the whole family engaged; face painting, singing from the choir, fairground games, a raffle and much more. Please show your support by coming and bring friends and family along with you to the school to join us in celebrating this special event. You can find more details regarding the event on the poster below.

We look forward to seeing you all there,

Mr Mohsin and the PTA team
