Dear Parents

Although this has been a shorter week than usual, the staff have been very busy preparing Reports from Year 1 to Year 6, which will go home with your child today. Miss Kath and Miss Cheryl have greatly enjoyed visiting all the classes this week, to talk to the children about their learning.

In order to view the Class Pages for more detailed information about your child's learning this week and any class notices, please click the link here .

Phase 2

This half term, Year 3 have been studying 'Footprints from the Past' during their IPC lessons. The children are very excited to share their learning at their Exit Point, next Tuesday. This week the children have been using their retrieval skills and creativity to make information posters about the palaeontologist, Mary Anning. In Art, they have learned how to use the medium of charcoal to draw and shade, creating some spectacular ammonite fossils as a result.

Out of School Achievements

Last week Bruno from Year 4 competed in the Rotax Max Challenge at Muscat Speedway, finishing first in his category. This was the first round and a fantastic way to start the season. Well done Bruno!

Please send us a message, if your child has taken part in an event recently which we can share with the school community, in order to celebrate the achievements of our pupils outside of school.

Thank you to Max's Mum, Landry's Mum and Ephraim's Mum for reading to their classes. We all enjoyed the stories.

If you would like to read a short story or poem to your Year 1 - Year 6 child's class, during their Library Time this term, please follow the link below. This will be a short story, or poem which will take no longer than 10 minutes to read to the class.

Parental Concerns:

At PDO School we acknowledge that, from time to time, parents may wish to express concerns about specific aspects of their child’s education. We are always happy to investigate and respond to these concerns. Please note that, for the Class Teachers, it is important that even informal discussions take place outside of their teaching time.

What do I do if I have a concern?

Please make the Class Teacher your first point of contact if your concern is not successfully resolved, please contact the school via notices@pdoschool.com to make an appointment with the Headteacher, Cheryl Fox, or the Deputy Headteacher, Ms. Kath Morgan.

Mr. Hamed, our School Manager, is also happy to listen to any parental concerns that have not been resolved successfully.

Wishing you a pleasant weekend
