Dear Parents

The children have been very busy again with their learning this week and it was great to see another sports event taking place in the wider community of Muscat, in which our children were able to take part. As can be seen, we also have a variety of events planned for the near future, especially the eagerly awaited Quiz Night organised by our Year 6 children, proceeds will be donated to charities, which we hope you will be able to attend, enjoy and maybe even win!

Science - How Sound Travels

In science this week year 4 have been learning about sound and how it travels. The children learnt how the frequency of the sound waves can change the pitch of the sound. In the experiment the children found out that the pitch could be changed by varying the quantity of water in a glass.

Hamiz played a fantastic rendition of 'Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star'. Mr Gary then added a sixth glass, and with a musical ear was able to make careful adjustment to the water levels and play an excellent tune!

PDO Under 9's - 3rd Place

Yesterday our under 9 boys took part in the MPSL Football tournament that we hosted at BSM School. It was the first tournament for many of these boys and they performed incredibly well. It was a great development opportunity for the team and a fun experience in which the team finished in 3rd place, after an extremely close playoff game at the end. Well done boys!

PDO Under 11's - 2nd Place

Our Under 11 team were also in action on a slightly larger pitch. The team played incredibly well working hard to use the space and create many goal scoring opportunities. The team were unbeaten in every game and a special mention to our defence and goal keeper Will , who didn't concede 1 goal throughout the tournament. Despite finishing joint top in the league our team finished second place overall due to goal difference by one goal. A fantastic achievement. We are very proud of you!

Celebrating Our Learning!

In our assembly before we broke up for half term, we celebrated the learning of our pupils. The library competition proved to be a very successful hit too!
