The Arkansas Dance Network is the state affiliate of the National Dance Education Organization for the state of Arkansas and the producing organization of ADN workshops and professional development, Arkansas High School Dance Festival, and the Arkansas Middle School Dance Festival. The mission of ADN is to promote and advocate for the art of dance throughout the state of Arkansas by connecting dance educators, students, organizations, studios, and companies.
The Arkansas Communication and Theatre Arts Association is a community of professionals devoted to the rigorous study and ethical practice of oral communication, debate, dance, and theatre arts as an essential discipline, life skill, art form as components of the core curriculum. Through continuing teacher education, student participation, and scholarly publication, the organization supports the efforts and continued growth of communication and theatre arts teachers, students, and researchers across the state of Arkansas.
The Arkansas Music Educators Association’s (ArkMEA) purpose is to promote the advancement of all music education in Arkansas. They provide local- state- and regional-level professional development opportunities that are designed to recruit, retain, revitalize, and equip current and future generations of music educators. ArkMEA believes that every student should have access to a sequential, balanced, and comprehensive program of music education and works to ensure these opportunities for all students in Arkansas.
ACDA membership consists of choral directors who represent more than one million singers across the United States. ACDA members teach choral music in public and private schools – kindergarten through senior high school – and at the college and university levels. They conduct a variety of choral groups, including boy choirs, children’s choirs, men’s and women’s choruses, junior and senior high school choirs, college and university choruses, ethnic choirs, vocal-jazz ensembles, and symphony choruses. They also conduct choirs in their communities and in their places of worship. Membership is established by submitting a membership application and annual dues.
The purpose of ASBOA is to: stimulate interest in instrumental music, promote leisure time interest which may be continued beyond school years, encourage good fellowship and sportsmanship through the promotion of tournament activities, promote the value of instrumental daily study and training among education authorities, and develop a desire for good music. All high school, junior high, middle or grade school bands and orchestras that have paid a school participation fee and are members of the Arkansas Activities Association are eligible for active membership. Colleges and sustaining membership may participate as associate members.

Arkansas Thespians offers effective and advantageous opportunities to theatre teachers and students through acting and technical competitions, scholarship auditions, and innovative lesson plans. Arkansas Thespians provides school- and state-level leadership opportunities to students through their school troupe and Arkansas State Thespian Officers. Students are encouraged to hone their technical, performance, leadership, and interview skills. Arkansas Thespians currently has over 60 high school and junior high school troupes that make up about 1500 active members.
The Arkansas Art Educators (AAE) is a statewide organization of art teachers whose focus is to advocate for art education through supporting legislation and providing quality professional development for all art instructors in the state.
ARftA's mission is to advance the arts, arts education, and the creative economy in Arkansas. ARftA's purpose is to serve the people of Arkansas as an independent statewide organization providing leadership focused on the promotion and advancement of the creative economy, on transforming policy in arts education, and uniting the state into one voice with a call to action by policy makers to increase investment in the arts.
The Arkansas Arts Council, an agency of the Division of Arkansas Heritage, advances and empowers the arts by providing services and funding for programming that encourages and assists literary, performing and visual artists and arts organizations in achieving standards of professional excellence. The Arkansas Arts Council provides technical and financial assistance to Arkansas arts organizations and other providers of cultural and educational programs. This statewide programming and assistance ultimately provide cultural, educational and economic opportunities for the benefit of all Arkansans.
ALTTA programs provide learning opportunities that generally might not be accessible to schools. Our offerings bring art forms to classrooms that students would not typically be exposed to. They are designed for specific units of curriculum by grade level and connect directly to Arkansas Department of Education Literacy Frameworks with ties to Social Studies, Math, Science, Art, Music, Theatre Arts and Dance Frameworks.

The Arts Education Partnership is a national network of more than 100 organizations dedicated to advancing arts education. AEP has been supported by the National Endowment for the Arts and the U.S. Department of Education since 1995 and is administered by Education Commission of the States. AEP is the nation’s hub for arts and education leaders, building their leadership capacity to support students, educators and learning environments. Through research, reports, convenings and counsel, leaders gain knowledge and insights to ensure that all learners receive an excellent arts education.
Founded in 1952, Young Audiences Arts for Learning is the nation's leading provider of arts in education programs and services. From music to media arts and storytelling to sound engineering, we believe the arts are vital to the education and social emotional development of all students. By providing advocacy, communications, professional learning, program development, fundraising, technology, and other support, the National Office of Young Audiences Arts for Learning operates the headquarters of the national Young Audiences Arts for Learning network and strives to advance quality and equity in arts education for all students.
